The work was created for Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire, a guildhall for artists created in Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich as part of Manifesta 11. Artists wishing to join the guild had to present a performance on stage, created in collaboration with another practitioner. For her performance, the artist invited her then professor at the art Academy of Stuttgart, and curator of Manifesta 11, Christian Jankowski, to accompany her walk on a red carpet, culminating in a slow-dance.
Instead of paparazzi, a videographer accompanied the couple. As both the young female art student from Israel and the internationally known male artist became equal members of the guild, it was not clear who was utilizing who in this weird power relation dance-cum-artwork. The kitsch, girly fantasy scene was intermingled with its hosting reality of prestigious art events populated by celebrity-artists, as well as the historical reference to professional male associations.
